"As a Support Coordinator, I've referred many clients to different providers. Vision and Care stands out for how quickly they respond and how genuinely they care about outcomes. My clients love them."
Stories of Change
Real words from the people we're honoured to support. Their journeys — in their own words.
"Moving into my own place felt impossible until Vision and Care stepped in. They didn't just give me a home — they gave me a life. I can cook, get out to the community, and make my own decisions. I feel like a real person again."
What our community
is saying.
"The STA stays have been a lifeline for our family. My son gets incredible support and fun activities, and I get the rest I need. The team send photos so we know he's happy. Couldn't be more grateful."
"The Day Care programme has been amazing for my daughter. She's made friends, tried new things like painting and cooking, and comes home genuinely happy every single time."
"The SDA home is incredible — it's genuinely built for me. Wide corridors, accessible bathroom, and smart home features. For the first time, I can move around my own house independently."
"My brother has been with Vision and Care for over a year now. The consistency of the support workers — the same familiar faces — has made a huge difference to his sense of security and routine."
"Vision and Care helped me understand my NDIS plan and connect with community events I didn't know existed. I'm more confident, more independent, and more connected than I've ever been."
Michael's journey to
independence.
When Michael first came to Vision and Care, he was living in a busy group home that didn't suit his needs. He was anxious, had limited independence, and needed significant support for daily tasks. His goal was simple — he wanted to cook his own meals and catch the bus by himself.
Over the first six months in his SIL placement, Michael's support team worked with him on structured routines, building skills one step at a time. His support workers were consistent — the same faces every week — so Michael could build the trust he needed to try new things.
By month eight, Michael was preparing three meals a week independently. By month twelve, he was taking public transport to a local café every Saturday. He also joined our Day Care programme once a week, where he discovered a passion for gardening.
